The Flooring Station was founded in 1991 by Jeff and Meridith Krekelberg as Gold River Floors, Inc. After gaining experience in the flooring industry, Jeff set out to build a company focused on exceptional service, strong relationships, and a lasting commitment to the local community.
For more than 30 years, the Krekelbergs built that legacy through honest guidance, quality products, professional workmanship, and a customer-first approach. When they retired, they entrusted the future of the company to the people who helped build it: the employees.
In 2022, The Flooring Station became employee-owned. While our name has evolved, our foundation remains the same: delivering exceptional experiences, creating a great place to work, and building a strong, enduring business through ownership, integrity, teamwork, and excellence.
